7/6/2014 Day 3 Salt Lake City - Ketchum

Today is by far the strangest day I have had on a family trip. Once again, I ate a sweet danish for breakfast (Which I still thought was bad idea) and we left about 8:30 A.M. I was kinda
grumpy and my mom was upset about my attitude but we went through. We went to the Morman conference center and listened to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and amazingly by some random chance Mitt Romney was at the choir but unfortunately I apparently took a picture of the wrong guy...
But anyway's it was pretty cool. And even better, it was 100 degrees and it was burning! (Sarcasm and do you get it???) It was actually a pretty good show because the orchestra and singers were actually great! We checked out but we still went back to the Sheraton to use the bathroom even though I didn't need to. We just left after that and drove for around seven hours and it was so boring. I forgot to mention this in the last blog but I have a ten dollar allowance per day and I am saving for my own stuff. We actually took some stops at some awesome places like the Golden Spike National Park and since I had a national park passport
I was doing a junior ranger program and I got my badge after forty minutes.
I saw a movie that told about the stuff that happened during the creation of the Transcontinental Railroad and I saw a copy of two trains that were famous and two people drove a train that actually used steam and wood. After we left we drove some more and we eventually went to the Craters of the Moon. I wanted to do the Junior Ranger Program except the place was going to close in a few minutes so I had no time. After though we took a nice hike and I got some nice pictures. It looked like volcanic rock mountains, and it was pretty cool.
I climbed a mountain and was able to call my friend Ryan in New York despite being in the middle of nowhere in Idaho on a mountain. I really thought how cool it was with the views and it was soooooooooooooooo HUMONGOUS!!! If you look at a map of Idaho you will probably spot the Craters of the Moon pretty easily. After that, we kept on driving until we decided to stop and eat dinner at CK's a restaurant in Ketchum. We ate outside and I ordered salmon and it was pretty big while it was really good.
After that we just drove about 15 minutes to out hotel and we slept for the night.
