Airport Adventures Aloof

Plane was delayed for approximately two hours because of Hurricane Arthur. When we arrived at the terminal, we obviously went through TSA security. Although after setting our bags down at the gate, my mother realized that she went through the security check with a full water bottle. This is not the first time an event like this occurred. TSA is being rather sloppy recently which is not safe. Besides that, the wait for boarding the plane was rather long so my siblings walked around buying sweets for the plane ride. The Baked By Melissa I purchased was rather disappointing. When my family realized we had more than an hour before taking off we enjoyed dinner at a steak house in the terminal. When it was finally time to board, we quickly gathered our belongings to wait on the line, only to find out that we were the last to board. The flight was rather uncomfortable for sitting, sleeping, and even the time made the flight more unbearable. After five pain staking hours, we finally arrived at terminal number one out of the two. The lights were off at our gate. Eventually we made our way through to the car rental hallway. To our dismay, another misfortune occurred other than arriving at 3:30 am EST. The keys to the car we reserved were locked in the gold club area. It was quiet strange that the man at the desk didn't have the keys to that booth.
We had to settle for a Chevy Equinox opposed to our Ford Explorer. My mother was first reluctant to this choice because for some reason she does not like Chevrolets. I was pushing for a Yukon although no one else agreed. So in the end we took our Chevy Equinox to the Sheraton. My sister and I engaged in to conversation for a while because of jet lag until we finally drifted off the sleep at 4 am.
